How to I get a pencil out from between car seats?

When me and my brother shared rooms as 4 year olds, Mom walked into the room one day.

My brother had his pants down on all fours with his bum in the air and I was tossing a pencil like a dart towards his butt.

Mom: "WHAT ARE YOU BOYS DOING?!

Me and my Brother: "We're playing 'Pencil in the Crack!'

Mom thought this was hysterical and still talks about it to this day on occasion. lol!

A bonus, too. I also found a cloth bag with $2 in quarters in it. I remember having that when I used to go to the laundromat and it disappeared years ago.

They got to make those storage trays between the seats deeper!

Hint: it didn't involve adhesives, putty, sticks, kitchen tools or the hand tools mentioned. But I did use something that most people have in their residences.

Why didn't you start out by saying it was such a lovely pencil, rather than a boring old yellow #2? Paper Mate Sharp Writer is worth the trouble!

Stuff will fall between the seats from time to time. The worst would be your car keys and you can't get the SOBs out. To prevent that in the first place, I stuck foam into the space flush with the seat top so things won't disappear into the abyss.

I have dug a hearing aid out from between the seats more than once for someone.
I know what I'm looking for. I got a big hug because a new one is expensive.

Dropped my keys onto a sidewalk drain grate, once
The ring and all my keys to everything dangled precariously on the edges of that grate

Carefully knelt down and gently grabbed that ring

Looked into the grate
Quite the abyss

Yeah, I have two sets of keys....but still

......and now have a FOB the size of my head
