How Used Hotel Soap Gets Recycled Into Brand New Bars

I had no idea used soap got recycled, I thought any old soap would go to the tip..
Ive learned something new , thanks Jackie

I use my hotel soaps at home.
That's interesting though!
Me too. If there were any little soaps or shampoo / conditioner , mouth waste containers I’d take them. I think they are put there for the customers use and I figure the hotel owners incorporate that into the cost. I prefer hotels that offer this as opposed to the ones who have refillable dispensaries.

When I staying in hotels lots, I did this too. Some of items can be used for other travel later. If I got too much, I donated it to women’s shelters. Usually I take my own bar of soap with me and all the little soaps come home still wrapped up.

yes they are incorporated in the cost of the room, and you're expected to take them...

Yes, I usually use my own soap and shampoo and take the other stuff home while traveling since I have my own travel bag but getting those little cleaning products was exciting. They were like little gifts to me all wrapped up so cutely.

I’d never donate them since I have other things to donate and liked them too much for that. 😬 lol

YES!!! I was hoping so but when I read this thread I somehow, doubted myself. 🫤

I bring the soap home, too. If the hotel had a sign saying used soaps are sent it to charitable recyclers who process and distribute it to the needy (free of charge), I'd leave it. Betting most hotels just toss unwrapped soaps though.
