How would you and others describe your personality- the same or different?
1. How do you describe your personality?
2. How do other people describe your personality?
For the first question write that yourself. For the second question have your friends or family members text you a short description of your personality. I can tell you I was a little surprised at some of the ways they viewed me. I doubt there will be many if any participating on this thread because it takes some homework.
Me: I would describe myself as loving, friendly, too inconsistent about projects and goals, empath, often too lazy, extremely loyal to those I love, can be stupidly hot tempered and lose all common sense when shoved into a corner physically, more happy in the country away from crowds of people, do not like crowds at all, imaginative, too chatty, am very clean but have bad organizational skills, love nature but can't tolerate the heat much anymore, love to cook for people that love to eat, have very little tolerance for sarcastic destructively critical people. I guess that's it. Oh yeah I have many odd little quirks. On the negative side I would say I have struggled against self loathing, feelings of inadequacy, and rage many times in my life & essentially held my own self back from being as successful as I might have been. I'm not sure how apparent that is to those who know me. I find describing my own self not that easy.

I sent people who know me well a text asking them to send me back a a text with a brief description of my personality as if they were describing me to someone who didn't know me and this is what I got back...
My eldest sister: Fierce, loving, creative, naive, perseveres. And I love you.
My son : Talkative. Naive..or too trusting. I don't mean that in a bad sense. You seem to have an inability to see evil , I believe based on your good nature. The bad things or nature don't cross your mind because it's not you.
My best friend: She is a genuine, honest & a loyal friend. She has strong values and can be opinionated. Even if she might seem harsh at times, it is with her best intentions and caring for the other person that brings about her strong convictions. She loves her children and family, and cares for them deeply. She can be untrusting of men, but she has her reasons. If the right man came along, willing to put in the effort to reach her, he would find the best partner ever. She is strong, unafraid of new possibilities, and takes personal challenges head on. She is strong willed and kind hearted.
Other sister: I'm not participating. That's a weird thing to ask me to do.
Youngest daughter: She's very kind natured. She's intelligent. Very friendly, loves companionship. She's very artistic. She has a good sense or humor. Gentle poet.
My father: she was born xxx. x xxxx at xxxxxx xxxx xxxxxxx xxxx. i was in the service, so she did a lot of traveling, and attended many different schools in different places. she led a normal life with the ups and downs of most children. school seem ed to be a challenge to her sometimes. she had an iq of 145, andi think she had too much spare time, so there were sometimes problems. she had two sisters and they got along well. she married and raised four girls and a boy. they are all adults now, and leading successful lives. they visit each other when possible. she is a friendly person, and makes friends easily. she likes to talk. she has many talents, but applies her self mostly to writing poetry, and painting, but seems to have to be in the right mood to do either.
Local son in law: I would say you're a sociable, and open person who's extremely empathetic with a strong nurturing instinct
Middle daughter:I guess I would say you're nice, funny, creative and artistic. Also that you're a really good cook
Other middle daughter: She's funny happy sweet. Very brave. She's extremely funny when bad things are happening to her. I learned that. If she is doing nothing but cracking jokes then something is wrong. That is how she deals with bad things. She's clever. She can take any bad situation turn it upside down and make something good out of it.
Out of state son in law: Smiley happy talks alot lovely mother to my wife and me and I'm missing her .
Oldest daughter: I've always had a personality clash with my mother. In spite of that she is my go to person to call when I have a problem. No one in my life will ever love me like my mother loves me. If I have to describe my mother I can do it in one word. Love. My mother is nothing but love and more love.
Ex husband: You were the cream of the crop, still are. Some idiots might not appreciate that ha ha.

After reading them over I was surprised that my sister and son felt I was naive. My father's comments shocked and gobsmacked me. That he describes
my childhood as normal is very odd to me..like he wasn't even there. And here I am at 58 years old just learning what my IQ was lol. That might explain
all the 'she's a freak' and 'she's a weirdo' comments made about me all the time from my step mom and her family lol.
