That location refers to a fairly narrow strip of country roughly from Wyoming to New Mexico.

Yea just can't get my head around it some times how vast America is got talking from someone over ther and said I commute about 22miles to work that's just a hop for us he said.:)
 
This state, Colorado, covers 104,185 sq. mi. and ranges in elevation from 3,315 ft. to 14,440 ft.; pretty impressive place to live. We have a cottage on an acre SW of our main residence and it takes a little 6 hours to get there, about 350 miles. Where I grew up in New England I could traverse at least three states in that time/distance!

All that space peace and solitude heaven to me and I though I lived in the country.:)
