Hi! I'm a 60ish senior, originally from the S. F. Bay Area, been in Redding for 15 yrs. I miss all that is available in the big city, but I enjoy living in the country.

In addition to working p/t as a classroom aide at an elementary school, I'm the local computer tutor for seniors. One of my "students" is an 88 yr. old man who has been actively writing short novels since his wife passed away several years ago, and I'm publishing his works online. It's been a fun adventure for both of us.

Most of the seniors I tutor are not aware of life online beyond email, Facebook, and Google. To help remedy that, I, and my partner, created a website to introduce newbies to some of the fun that can be had with a computer. If you are here, you are past the beginner stage, but I invite you to take a look. We've added animation and colorful graphics to "fun it up." You may find something of interest on our Cool Links page, or try out our first game. And, of course, a Computer Tutor page. The site is a work-in-progress, so comments and suggestions are welcome. We're all about learning new things and having fun while being creative with computers.

Welcome Grannie B! We were just recently contemplating a move from Lakeport to Redding. Hubby was sick of his coworker,wanted out and was offered a great sounding job in Redding. But his boss caught wind of it and asked him would he stay if he let the other guy go. So he did. Love the area though-vacationed in Shingletown for years and now vacation at Trinity Lake.

Yep.. I'm not a real fan of this heat we must experience every year. But, it is a condition associated with the middle part of the planet that we live on, and therefore; must be dealt with as humanely possible :/
