The miraculous shuttle mission to replace the original lens that was defective was an engineering miracle. Anyone that has not seen the documentary of how the lens is made should find it and watch. The flaw on the lens was a fraction of the diameter of a single human hair and it was on the edge of the lens.

I remember when Hubble was sent on her voyage. I couldn't wait to see what pictures would be returned. I was surprised at so much color in space although the movie, 2001, A Space Odyssey was certainly a clue. The colors while the space ship was off to Jupiter and beyond were a sight to see. Of course that was Kubrick's vision. Thanks for sharing this I love all things space.
