From previous posts of mine, you might remember that I said my husband was diagnosed with spinal stenosis L4/L5 and was scheduled for a Laminectomy.

He had his surgery on Monday and by Wednesday he was getting around so much better. The only trouble he's having now is his right knee is shot and he has to have a knee replacement.

It's amazing what they can do nowadays. I remember when I was a little kid, my mother had several back surgeries and I had to go live with one of my aunts and her family while my mother learned to walk all over again. She had a hospital bed at home and she was in a lot of pain. She had a walker and it took months for her to recuperate. My husband was up and walking around about an hour after he was taken to his room in the hospital and he was discharged that evening. He was in surgery about 45 minutes and his incision is about 2 inches long and held together with SuperGlu. Amazing :)

Glad to hear hubby is doing better Colleen.
I had my gal bladder removed with a scope. I was in pre-op for 1.5 hrs. Surgery was 15 minutes, then to recovery for 1.5 hrs. Walked out of the hospital the same day. The scope is the best invention along with the robot surgery the surgeons now use for very delicate surgeries.

My back from neck down to tail bone is all bone on bone. The neurologist told me I'm too old to have the back surgery where they jack the vertebrates apart & put some gell in then take out the jacks. That's something new also.

Try to take very good care of yourself, too, Colleen!
