Huh? I have Khol's Cash? And I have grocery store points?

I have big feet. There also very wide. By chance I found the right shoes for them. They are sold by Khol's. Well, I'm going to need some new shoes, so I went online to Khol's. It was easy to find the shoes and order them, but checking out was difficult. I didn't know if I had a promo code? Then there was something about Khol's Cash. Then I had to spend an additional $1.09 to get free shipping on my order that came with free shipping, but cost me $8.46 to get my shoes here in three days, OR check the box for free regular shipping in three days. If that wasn't confusing enough, I went grocery shopping. I spent $102.88, but I got 200 points and a "gas card". I guess if you wanted to save every last cent, you could waste hours trying to figure out the ins and outs of retailer's gimmicks, but I don't. They will all be expired by the time i get enough to cash in.
I probably sound like an old grouch, but how about real savings, like "CENTS OFF", instead of points. BAH HUMBUG!!

I agree. My wife is a Kohl's "Addict", and we can't drive past one without stopping. She gets mailings every week, and there is some "super" savings almost daily in the e-mail. If we add it up, with all the coupons and offers, we wind up paying just about the regular price at Walmart or Target. I can't imagine anyone shopping at Kohl's without any coupons, etc. While she is in the women's clothing section, I browse the Clearance items in the mens and shoe departments, and once in awhile I actually find a bargain. These coupons and "offers" are the primary reason why Kohl's doesn't join Sears and Penney's in their downward slide.

Before making any purchase from KOHL's online, google for coupons. Once a month they have a 30% off coupon and a free shipping code. (Or just post on here; I always have 'em. :D) I mostly throw the Kohl's cash away because it's just a "lure" to get me to buy something else I don't need. Since Kohl's carries national brands in athletic shoes, Levis, housewares, etc. the coupons are typically a really good buy.

I hate Kohl's. Between all the promotions mentioned above practically need a mainframe computer to figure out what an actual price is. Deluged with newspaper flyers. They have such a scrambled up mix of decent & lousy quality wares that often can't tell which is which till you get it home. Have had decent luck with their purses. Then in the nearest one the refund/pickup counter is at the farthest corner of store from entrance. I don't like to waste energy going that far on my Walker, so if I kick up a fuss they will send someone up to take it on the main register. Have heard they treat their employees lousy too, especially the ones that really need the job, jerk their schedules around, do tricks to avoid paying full time or overtime. Locally they replaced Mervyns which had nice good quality stuff & good cust service. I miss it.
