VANCOUVER, Wash. — A Vancouver ballot box was burned in an arson Monday morning, authorities report - with hundreds of ballots possibly damaged in the fire.

Investigators believe the incident is connected to two other arson incidents in Portland and SW Washington

Portland Police say they believe the ballot box fires in Portland and Vancouver this morning, and a third incident in Vancouver earlier this month, are connected. Portland Police say this dark colored Volvo is a vehicle of interest.

I mailed my ballot in an and within 48 hours received an email telling me my ballot was received. A day later another email arrived telling me the signature match was OK. Not bad at all. No need to put it into a box.

I understand that those boxes are electronically monitored, so I am waiting to see the video of the perpetrator in action. A year in the Federal Pen for every ballot damaged sounds fair to me.

Unconscionable! Latest news I saw is that it was a protest against what's happening in Palestine and Gaza. I don't see what our election process has to do with that. I also saw on the news that one of the ballot boxes has a fire retardant and only three ballots were damaged. Perhaps now officials will see that all ballot boxes have that capability.
