Hungarian Tax for Women.

Women in Hungary can work without paying any
income tax, if they have 4 or more children, the
Government want to increase the population so
that they don't need to depend on Immigrants!

I wonder if this is a good thing or is just another
political ploy to get the electors thinking that they
are good politicians?

A woman who has 4 or more children won't have
very much time to work, so they lose the benefit,
it would be much better to share some of it with
the husband, then they would be doing some good.

I understand the motivation but IMO it is a sick twisted idea for a government to offer financial incentives to women/couples who have more children.

I don't think it is sick or twisted at all for it to be recognized how women contribute to their country and society. It's pretty much just thought of it's their responsibility and who the heck should care. It's women that get the bad end because either they have to stop working to take care of the children and lose their long-time benefits from working less in their life-time working years, or go to work soon after giving birth and then being criticized for not being home with the children. It's a lose-lose situation.

Another thing, all of us here who take social security and medicare, and say you've paid in to the system? Guess what. You're getting your benefits because of the younger people working today and what they pay into those systems with their taxes to do that. You want women to keep on populating the system for our benefit, then stop making women who have the burdens make it feel they are leaches on society and they should not be getting anything else from our taxes and feeling that politicians who understand women just because of their gender and what that means, are just looking for getting votes. That is just a really a twisted way of thinking, if we're going to talk about twisted. Admittedly, this kind of thinking really makes me frustrated and mad. Yes, we are individuals and as individuals responsible for ourselves. But we are also members of our communities and the community of the planet. To not think that way, is why there will never be peace on earth--ever.
