Hurricane Debby path and tracker: Category 1 storm makes landfall in Florida

The Tornado thing seem scary for all those with in 100 miles of the Low.
I was in S.C. after Hugo and the Pines one standing in the middle of 100 acres.
So, low and with Sea level, the high-water & thoughts. Stay safe South of us.
We love you and you have our prayers.

I have loved ones in Florida and Georgia. My BFF said they got an awful rainstorm yesterday and found out parts of her town were flooded. We're going to feel the effects of it here in the mid Atlantic by the end of the week. I feel sorry for the folks in GA and S.C. because Debby is going to linger for a couple of days dumping all that rain. So sad that people died due to this storm, including a boy who was sleeping in his bed when a tree fell on the house.

Grrr. Not much here in the Orlando area except tons of rain and some wind. However, we learned a new Florida lesson - keep an eye on your window caulking. Our bedroom window is south facing so it gets full sun all day long - and also took the full force of the wind and rain (7" according to a neighbor's rain gauge). Some cracks had developed in the caulking in just these 3+ years so rain got in and ran down the inside of the wall to soak the carpet and padding under the window. I had a fun day today, scraping out the old and re-sealing that window. I never worried about this in north Georgia. Check your window caulking folks.
