My mother loved her. I watched 'Keeping up Appearances' with her a couple of times. She was a gem.

Whenever I chose something to wear that was, well scruffy, my wife would say: "Richard! Richard! Think of the neighbours Richard. One has standards." Patricia was a cherished actress and a very talented comedienne. May she rest in peace.

I must share with you one of Hyacinth's classic one liners: "Hyacinth: If there's one thing I can't stand, it's snobbery and one-upmanship. People trying to pretend they're superior. Makes it so much harder for those of us who really are."

Played on Broadway as well. Unfortunately although I went to many shows I didn't get to see her.

I've been watching that show on PBS on Saturday nights for years. I even bought the box set. I still laugh no matter how many times I've seen the episodes. R.I.P. Patricia Routledge, and thanks for all of the laughs over the years. Now if you get a call in Heaven, you'll say, "Bouquet Residence!

What a funny, talented lady she was! We used to call my mother Hyacinth and ask her if she would be using her Royal Doulton China at dinner. I've seen every episode. RIP Patricia.

I got such a charge out of her on Keeping Up Appearances. I knew she was a famous British Actress in her own right, but as Hyacinth, Patricia was priceless. May she soar with angels.
