"I Almost Ended My Life Because Of The Corrupt & Rigged Beef Industry" - rural cattle farmer

Can't imagine how difficult it must have been to sell off hid entire herd. Good to see that he is now in a position of helping to spread the word about the beef industry.

I do my best to buy from local farmers who raise the beef themselves. I have a few options around here. Paying the farmer or rancher directly is often a little cheaper than store bought, but more importantly it puts more money in the farmer or ranchers hand. And I know a little more about how the beef was produced. I buy mostly grass fed.

I know a lot of folks who live in larger towns and cities may not have this option, but its my way of trying not to support the big beef thing.

Same here. People who aren't rural can purchase farm direct online.

The drawback is. You can't just drop by and get a 5-10 lb custom sliced PKG. It's sold by the cow. Below is a local seller, read the whole thing as it's a bit enlightening regarding what you are paying for and what you get.

I do at several retail shops (one farmer owned) in a city near me. I also order online from White Oak Pastures which is completely organic, pasture raised and has an onsite abattoir

Local butchers not part of some supermarket chain can be a good choice. If I can't get something directly from a farmer or rancher I go to a small local butcher. He tries to get his beef locally. It does cost a little more than Walmart, but well worth it, to me.
