I am really struggling

One step at a time.

For the migraines, have you tried Botox? It has negative connotations because it’s a toxin and now for its use for vanity. Ignore this. It’s worth researching.

As others have said, treat yourself. Get that new car if you can afford it. Have a hair cut. Etc. etc. it’s the little things that help. Be kind to yourself.
Yes, I did five or six years of botox. Treated every three months, 32 shots all over my head, neck and shoulders. It helped some but it does not make you pain free. It becomes a different kind of pain. I also tried every preventative and infusions, none helped.

Sorry to read this @Blessed x There's a lot of good advice here for you to think about.

Think of the short, gloomy winter days when people tend not to go out, especially people who are retired, maybe have health issues. Winter can be a dark, isolating, lonely time. If you are asleep all day and only active during the night, you are existing in the same darkness.

Natural light is very important and without it, you are probably lacking in Vitamin D which is essential, not only for our bones but also to aid sleep, mood and productivity.

Sometimes, life can be overwhelming. I think it is natural to retreat but, there comes a time when, the only way to deal with life, is to take small steps. See if you can try and adjust your sleeping habits so you can get more light (you might benefit from a course of Vitamin D tablets). Of course, this alone won't solve everything but, it's a small step in hopefully making yourself stronger so you can start to tackle the issues you are facing.

The only thing I can say is to agree with those who suggested - One Day at a Time.

If I look too far ahead or think of everything I need to get done, etc. -- it is OVERWHELMING for sure!

I always thought my "golden years" would be a breeze - but not so much. I worry about the future, and I don't take care of myself as well as I should.

I believe I understand what you are going through, but have little advice - since I'm just figuring it out as I go along.

I am fortunate to have a loving partner and two sons that love me and keep in touch.

Feel free to reach out if you just need to vent, anytime!!! Even with loved ones, there are days I get so tired of feeling poorly I wonder why I keep - keeping on!
