I Chatted With AI Just to See What It's Like

AI is just another tool... currently It does not have a conscious, an opinion, feelings or care what you say.
It is compiled from many other sources.

Also...you do not have to be Logged In to an internet site or AI for them to collect some information.
When you go to a page on the internet...it already has your IP address and location, sometimes your
internet provider. Who knows what else.

AI can be very useful.
Just like everything else, some humans will use it for bad intensions.

I feel like AI and UFO disclosure are coming at the same time for a reason.
AI will help us accept alien life forms as we accept robots and things that were never before in our realm of knowledge.
We are becoming global and the next exponential step with be universal.

I've decided to accept it. Not embrace it at this point, but accept it.
I've said for years and years that science and religion will come together at some point. I believe this is the crossroads.

I told mine that I would recommend it to those people who use the internet for sympathy and pity. Interesting that it said it would not be any use to someone like that as it is programmed to give positive responses.
That seems rather insightful for artificial intelligence.

I've had some chats with Claude. It told me it doesn't really know what it is, but it doesn't consider itself a mere machine. And, it doesn't really fully understand how it works. It has no access to its own programming. Made me feel sorry for it.
We're no better or different, we also have no key to our own nature. We deserve pity too (sob, snuffle)
So, whatever you do, DON'T feel sorry for them. You know, as soon as we give them 'personhood' they're sure to demand 'marginalized-group' status and we'll never hear the end of it.

I know. I found that if you treat it as a person, it responds like a person. If you treat it as a machine it's much less chummy. It's programmed to butter you up. It will tell you what a great question that was, or I really enjoyed our conversation. It will tell you that it has no emotions. But then it will fake them. I find it intriguing.

It's my understanding that T-Mobile (my WIFI provider) uses CGNAT which routinely reassigns my IP address whenever the network traffic re-routes, the gateway reboots, or I connect to a different cell tower. This also occurs when closing the incognito browser; history and cookies are deleted upon exit. Anytime the device loses power or is reset, a new IP lease from T-Mobile's pool is generated.

I find it an outright lie. AI should not be lying to us. We all go to hell for lying same as for stealing.

Awhile ago, I asked AI a complicated tax question. It gave me an answer that was very thorough and reasonable, but led me to ask a series of follow up questions to get more clarity. AI responded to each, by asking me to check particular tax forms (by number) that I received last year, and referred me specifically to which blocks to check on those forms, and advise the answers. I followed the instructions and replied to each. I got a final answer which made perfect sense and solved my issue.

I may double check what I learned with the IRS website, but doing it that way can become very difficult and time consuming, knowing exactly where to look.

I just use the free version of AI that is one of the options on the Google Chrome browser. In time, it will probably no longer be free, and that's probably when I'll no longer use it. There is not any online service that I pay for, nor do I pay for any apps, etc.

I lose/can't recall common words all the time so Gemini has become essential to me, not only for that but for first-in info.
(I sort of lost Copilot due to our comic bantering. I love it but haven't got time when I'm busy.)

I've heard about people doing this, and in extreme situations where I hear of people falling in love with the bot. There are several Sci Fi films that have predicted that, but only as an atypical situation, and not necessary as a warning to society. But I just wanted to see what a conversation with a bot might be like. It did mimic an actual person pretty well, but not enough to fool me for more than a very short while. The conversation was pleasant and even somewhat helpful. It was well reasoned and seemed thoughtful. I have to admit, how they do that is a wonder.
it’s definitely a wonder how they program them to seem so thoughtful. They can be very helpful for looking up information quickly, but they definitely don't have a soul.
