I could not find my car today

Parked in a large car park.
No idea where it was. Looking, looking, looking.
I realised today my car does not go Beep - Beep when the key fob is pressed. Only the small lights flash once.
Finally found it after 16 minutes walking up and down the rows of cars. :)

Watch this, might be helpful to you, someday.

Put your FOB Key under your chin to extend the reach of your Key FOB!

I lost mine a couple times in the parking garage at work. I honestly thought someone stole it one night. It was a little scary.

What was the point of him marking the road?

Years ago I used to keep a helium filled balloon tied inside in my car boot (trunk). Open the lid, balloon pops up, close the boot lid on the string, job done! Only problem is that some people think it's funny to cut the string!
When we lived in London it could be quite difficult locating your car amongst so many. The way we traced the car was to tie two thin ribbon strips, of our team's colours, to the aerial. You can buy "car finders," some are quite amusing.

My vehicle does not make a noise when it is locked or unlocked. Only flashing lights - one flash.
I used that knowledge of extending the range of the key fob once. Surely did work.
You should be able to go to a car alarm fitter and add the horn to sound when you press your Key FOB...

I did a quick search on Edge browser, good listing came up, hope it helps!

I try to really pay attention when I park.I have thought my car was stolen once. That said s a scary feeling.
me too... I've written about it here before..but short version is.. that I was in a strange town.. parked in the multi storey car park, knew the multi storey was going to close at 6pm, got back 15 minutes before, ..car park was empty... including my car... gone !

I raced literally , running downstairs to every level, but no it was gone..

I dashed outside... only to discover there was an identical multi storey car park right next door.... and my car was in there..'phew'' the relief!

The parking lot at my area Walmart is about the size of a football stadium, and at any given time has hundreds of cars in it. As parking spaces during Xmas season are taken almost to the road and require a five-minute walk from there to enter the store, I memorize marker designations at the front of the row where I’m parked to eliminate meandering walks in rain and freezing temperatures upon my store departure…

In the retail car park above , I try to time my shopping to days when its not busy..like never go on a weekend.. or during the Sales, or the holidays ... and then I usually get to park in the place nearer the stores as I've marked in red...

We don't have large parking lots where I live- but I ,too, memorize the exact entrance to the largest food store-they have two entrances ,so after I park I go into the closest one, and I memorize something posted near the entrance, such as Fish Fry day-or 'dont forget your tote bags'. Of course those signs might be at the other entrance too.

I have a silver jeep and it amazes me how many cars look just like it, sometimes. I always have florescent tape in my car to mark stakes in my driveway entrances , when we get a lot of snow and I could easily slip on a piece of that tape onto the radio aerial-but once I am parked, I never think about the tape at all.

Worse case scenario-I used to forget sometimes ,what entrance I went into. I just like to get the food shopping over with.

At Walmart they have the aisles numbered. I just note the number in my head so I know what aisle to walk to when I leave. In parking lots without numbers, I've heard that people will take a picture on their phone as they are walking toward the store so they have a reference as to where they parked.

I only have this problem at airports when I travel. Therefore, I park in the same outlying parking lot and only park in a space next to one of the fences surrounding the parking lot. So far, I always have remembered which fence I parked on (e.g. east, west, north, or south).

I have misplaced my car on a couple of occasions especially in large multi story parking at hospitals. Being a person of infinite patience 😉-- I would usually locate my car just about the time I decided to check and see what cars my key would work with, and treat myself to an upgrade for the bother. Admittedly there are drawbacks to the plan.

It's a well known fact that mall thugs break into cars and move them to other parts of the mall parking lot. I've been hit 6 times this year alone!
You've had your car broken into six times??? Why would the thieves move the car to a different part of the lot?
