I remember when a gas station chain gave out golfball-sized dayglo orange Styrofoam balls for the antenna tip with purchase. Of course before long pretty much every other car had one.
never happened to me or anyone I know....
You've had your car broken into six times??? Why would the thieves move the car to a different part of the lot?
It's humor......It's a well known fact that mall thugs break into cars and move them to other parts of the mall parking lot. I've been hit 6 times this year alone!
Me three. I memorize the landmarks, car row and how it all aligns to the store's exterior. There's always an indicator of gaging where you are if you're careful.me too... I've written about it here before..but short version is.. that I was in a strange town.. parked in the multi storey car park, knew the multi storey was going to close at 6pm, got back 15 minutes before, ..car park was empty... including my car... gone !
I raced literally , running downstairs to every level, but no it was gone..
I dashed outside... only to discover there was an identical multi storey car park right next door.... and my car was in there..'phew'' the relief!
That was 16 minutes of unplanned walking exercise. Looking at the bright side It was worth the walk.Parked in a large car park.
No idea where it was. Looking, looking, looking.
I realised today my car does not go Beep - Beep when the key fob is pressed. Only the small lights flash once.
Finally found it after 16 minutes walking up and down the rows of cars.![]()
ah but wouldn't the stress have counteracted the benefits of the exercise ?That was 16 minutes of unplanned walking exercise. Looking at the bright side It was worth the walk.
When I saw the first photo I thought, that has to be West Thurrock, the lake confirms it.In that picture I posted above of the car park at the retail centre.. on the other side of the stores you'll see a lake... this is the boardwalk on the lake at the opposite side of the buildings..for anyone who might be interested...

it certainly is Lakeside...When I saw the first photo I thought, that has to be West Thurrock, the lake confirms it.
We live in a smallish town
But, the Walmart parking lot is big enough to lose yer car
So
I park on the lane that lines up with the door
I also park in the forward space so I can drive forward (not have to back out)
Sure, it may be a block or two walk, but know I'll eventually get there
Think about all the exercise you got for those 16 mins walking up and down the rows of cars.Parked in a large car park.
No idea where it was. Looking, looking, looking.

yes that's easily done, I've done that in the past several times..I remember doing that once. Turned out that I had left the mall via a different door than I entered.
