I could use some Bed Pillow Advice?

Yikes. Thread mentions replacement, something I haven't done for years. So web searching shows is recommended every 2 or 3 years. Of course regularly change pillow cases. Thus will toss out my 5 pillows and buy some new ones. As for down, as a backpacker, always have highest quality goose down sleeping bags and synthetic bags of which I still have 6 that also share duties as winter comforters.

I've changed my pillows in the late 80s from real feathers to foam. What a difference that made. Some of my allergies disappeared literally overnight šŸ˜‚.

Always had back supporting mattresses. Ditch the damaged one in 2021 as well as the super dusty Divan base.

Got a super light all iron base where I've got space underneath for all my linen boxes. Headboard and footboard for under £100. Got a Super Sleeper Mattress at BHF. The charity got a donation and we got an absolutely comfortable extra support new foam mattress.

My back and neck pains have disappeared. Bliss!

QUESTION

Does anyone still have a water mattress? They were a fad back then. Just curious! Thanks.
