I don't think most people know what they are really buying?

2013 was the last new car I bought and I sold it a few years later, and it wasn't nearly as bad as newer cars. I saw the writing on the wall and opted out for good.

Here is an 8 minute video explaining what a new car really is:

Thank you for the information.
I have been warning people for years.
Be very careful what you do and what you buy, there is no such thing as "privacy" anymore.
Technology like all things can be good or bad.

Yes, privacy in the modern world is almost nonexistent. That is if you buy into their program of smartphones, smart tv's and appliances, apps just to pay bills and conduct business, accounts for Google, Apple, Samsung, Amazon and everyone else.

People are convinced these things are convenient and required to function. But you don't have to follow their program and your life will function just fine with less complications and stress.

My late Husband was an excellent Car Mechanic in his day.
He knew everyone at the car parts stores and personally knew some of the junk yard personnel.
He gave people the option of new parts or parts from the yards, which he went and got, cleaned them, and tested himself.
I am sure if he knew what was going on with new cars and repairs recently he would be highly upset.
If something did not work properly that he fixed on your car, he would remedy that for free.

The Man is slowly taking over!

George Orwell got it right in 1949 with his classic book 1984.
Profiling from credit, debit, and loyalty cards is the systematic process of collecting, analyzing, and organizing transaction data to create detailed pictures of consumer behaviour, habits, and preferences. Retailers and financial institutions combine what you buy, loyalty cards, with how you pay credit/debit cards to determine who you are, predict future spending, and target you with marketing.

The realization that payment cards could be used for consumer profiling, rather than just transaction processing, began to gain critical attention in the late 1960's. It transitioned from a surveillance concept to a data-mining business strategy during the late 1980's.

What is so sinister about the farming of our spending, is the fact that it is done without the need for permission. Furthermore, it is bought and sold in order to increase the amount of data on everyone's profile. Read about it on this link.

Track me track me track me!
I do not have any so called credit cards anymore, I cut them up a long time ago.
However I have a cell phone, computer, shop online, so I know they know all about me.
I have a line of credit on some of the places I shop online if really need it.
And of course good ole Pp. Now they have a pay in payments if your order qualifies.

I still can not wrap my mind around the fact that some people still do not realize that there are cameras everywear and that you can be tracked on your cell phone.
They can issue a warrant to your cell phone provider that shows your calls, text and location at any given time.

So why not your car as well!

Dumbphone and a Faraday pouch, no one can track you by phone if you don't let them;) Or you could leave you phone at home when you leave the house. People today would panic over that, but not too many years ago we all had land lines and everybody survived just fine.

You can add payment for purchases with cash, as in the filthy folding stuff, to avoid being tracked. Cash is anonymous.

Like I said, let them track me. I need my cell phone. In case I fall down.
I take some precautions, only give out information that I have to.
I can not go out much, have to shop online, they do not take cash.
I do worry sometimes about identity theft.

I do not have anything to hide.Just hope they do not look in my closet.
