I finally realized I am VERY OLD !

I think for me it started to sink in that I was old when the radio stations started refering to songs from the 90's as "Golden Oldies".

What a lovely bride. :love_heart: I don't feel completely old yet. I have friends, work, interests, dates, etc. But I got arthritis young when I was only fifty and the pain at times can make me feel older than my years. When I watch my neighbor who's in her seventies go for walks for miles, I do feel so envious and sadly too old for some things I used to enjoy so much.

Oh, and people have called me ma'am since I was 23. It first happened when a college student was asking me for directions. He called me ma'am. I was furious. I was still a student myself.

Feeling young today because hubby and I just took his father out for a birthday luncheon to celebrate 92. At 66 my body is plenty spry enough to walk, run, dance and have a good time, and my brain is old enough to not give two hoots about who sees me fully enjoy myself.

Invisible? Bah! As they used to say when I lived in NY/NJ, I've got your invisible right here...

66 and 70 that is young in my mind and a friend said she didn't start to feel "old" until she reached 80. she's about 85 now and I'm 80 and wracked with too much arthritis.

I was still going to the gym in early 60's and had to stop due to knees.
