I found a carved walking stick

This was a gift to my mom from one of her nephews. I think he was taking a wood carving class at that time. It's 49 inches (124 cm) long, but very light wood.

I walk about every day and I fell down twice last week while I was out walking (luckily, I didn't hurt myself). Now, I take one of my aluminum hiking poles with me at all times. Having a pole with me gives me a 3-point stance and helps prevent falls. I don't care how funny I look.

It's about 54 inches long. Fairly heavy, it took most of 2 quarts of mineral oil when I started polishing it. Soaked it right up.
