I gashed some fingers on jelly

Don't laugh - it's true. I was trying to finish off small quantities of things in the fridge to accommodate my holiday fixin's. There was a jar of raspberry jelly with just a tablespoon left in the jar. I opened it, finished off the jelly and started to clean the jar for recycling. I saw some stuck on the jar's lid threads and thought I could just pick it off, but it was dried hard and pointy, must have been between the threads and my fingers caught some of it. Now I have cuts on my right thumb, index and middle finger. This could only happen to me!

Probably still uncomfortable today. Especially when washing your hands?

Don't be so hard on yourself. I have cut a finger or two, in a soapsuds filled plastic tub while washing my dishes over the years. I would feel around in the bottom with my fingers, and prick myself with the wrong end of a sharp knife.

I always say there's millions of ways to hurt ourselves but never heard of someone cutting their fingers on hardened jelly. Deb you win the award for most creative injury!
