I Got Tragic, Shocking News This Weekend

I am very sorry this awful thing happened, for her, and of course, it is very, very upsetting for you. We all send you any comfort and support we can give.
I am glad you have the support and love from your son and DIL.

Perhaps you might want to think of doing something (taking some actions) that she would like. There isn't any rush.
 

So sorry to hear this. I know this has got to be more difficult for you than had she died of natural causes, because I've had the kind of loss. Prayers for those who cared about her. Murder is always shocking, but for her body to be disrespected that way is disturbing.

It is good you had forgiven her, even if you had not told her that. Or you'd have that burden too, feeling bad you hadn't. A reminder to us all about leaving such feelings unexpressed too long.

No word yet on arrangements. I think she was the only Muslim in her family (mother, brother and grown daughters). I just hope her family sees to it that she gets a proper Muslim funeral when her body is released. My nephew who provided the additional information is Muslim as was his late wife who always wore full hijab. His wife's father who was a Christian minister greatly disrespected not only his daughter but my nephew by giving her a Christian funeral and having only Christian ministers speak.

This is my friend who was murdered. May Allah (God) forgive her sins and permit her entrance into Jannah (paradise). @Pecos
