I guess it is hard to catch Spammers/crooks online

but I noticed this a.m. when deleting the SPAM box in my email, there was an email from the USPS.com. Well, I realize the actual site says USPS.com as well, but this was spam. The return address was some phony yahoo address. What an epidemic spam is:( And for folks that may not be wise to their tricks, just think, they can get viruses or taken for dollars. I mean, I know this isn't news to anyone, I doubt anyway, but it really got to me this a.m.

Ok, I'll check your link out SB;) Thank you much, these are just getting so I am watching everything, which is taking away the pleasure of just having fun, feeling safe, etc.:( It shouldn't surprise me. Of course, it's a way to scam others. There's always someone out there that wants to rip people off, or just finds fun in ruining someones computer, I'll never understand that sort of mind.

Welll now that I've had some time to think about it, a person can make a Yahoo, or any internet mail account ( I think ) and you can put in a username like usps.com. Then your email is hidden until the mail is opened.

Yes Bonnie, it looks like a legit site, but what I realized was that the email was not from "the" usps site, it was from this yahoo account, and they used usps.com as a username, weird hey? They think of pretty much every angle to try don't they:(

Got one supposedly from apple on Friday about my iPad account. The bad spelling and punctuation gave it away immediately. I deleted it.

Yes, if I get anything in my "inbox" which is rare, like never pretty much now, I would delete it immediately. Most goes to spam, but I will look occasionally just to make sure nothing has gotten in there that shouldn't be.
