Our local independently owned pharmacies are prohibited from dispensing drugs on the FDA's "tier list"....controlled substances. That started a couple years ago, I think. They're basically just a dispensary for vitamins and first-aid supplies now. Independently owned pharmacies are being forced out of business. I'm not sure who's behind it, but you can bet somebody is profiting.
