I had to turn a light on!

Though we are in a heat wave it is getting darker earlier in my part of the world, so I had to turn a light on in the evening for the first time in a long time. Fall is on the way, but it won’t feel like it today.

It definately is getting darker earlier. Fall is on its way! Today there's a heat advisory..sure beats the Winter storm warnings. I do hate to drive in the ice and snow!
 

I am in Rhode Island, and I agree with Serena about the snow and ice, so I am not driving much these days.
 
Couldn't agree more. We usually spend the month of September in Maine and it's hard to beat those cool, crisp evenings.

The temps supposed to reach the low 90's here today and we live near the coast. It'll be worse a few miles inland but that's scarce consolation for me.
 
Yes we're turning the lights on around 9pm this week...the nights seem to be drawing in fast , even though it's still hot and sunny during the day...and even in the night it's still very hot..
 
This summer in Upstate New York has been hot with horrible humidity. I discovered that I do not like either extreme. Usually I am anti-winter because of snow an worse ice but this summer made me realize I just can’t take either extreme. But (And I can not believe I am saying this), I think I actually like colder temps better. The heat just wipes me out. I think I lost my mind . lol 😄
 
Yep we all hope for a change like winter instead of summer but then when it does happen we hope the other way.

Where I live we get a short summer and it doesn't get too hot. But I prefer summer over winter.

Having to drive through and shovel snow wipes me out and it's very depressing during the short days in winter.

We get sun but there's no heat in it.

It's a choice. Pay for heat or pay for air conditioning.
