Received an email from my 71 year old cousin last night. He was adopted by my aunt and uncle when he was a week old. They both died years ago, and this year he signed up with one of those genetic testing places, 21 and Me or something like that, to see if he could find what diseases etc were in his DNA.
well lo and behold, not only did he find that, but he found his birth mother as well!!! She is 93 years old and was over the moon with happiness that he found her. For 71 years she never told a sole about the baby she put up for adoption, and yet she welcomed him with open arms, introduced him to his 8 half brothers and sisters and all of their families. He also found out who his father was. He had died at the age of 38
But isn’t this the most wonderful thing ever? I am so happy for all of them and that what could haVe been a real catastrophe all around, had such a beautiful fairytale ending
