I had The Hartford for my car insurance, but they kept jacking up the premium, so I switched to Geico. Mine is only $464.70 for 6 months.

That is 1,120.27 Australian for Six months, I pay about 1.000 Dollars AU for the YEAR, Shop around

The insurance for my campervan actually came down this year - under £200 with £100 excess (is this what you men by deductible?) This is for fully comprehensive and protected (no increase if a claim is made). Mrs L's car (less than 1 year old) costs just over £200 a year to insure.

What has gone up is the road fund licence - a rip off scheme for the government to make money from motorists. In return we get to drive on congested, potholed roads.

$750 seems steep for 6 months. I pay £620 ($789) to cover 2 cars Fully Comprehensive over 12 months. And the premium has gone down from last year.

Just to give you an idea of what my insurance is paying for. One of those cars is reasonably powerful, with a 0-60 time in the 5 seconds, and top speed to match, Admittedly I have full no-claims bonus which reduces the premium. Maybe it’s time for you to shop around?

As my least expensive quote for comprehensive is normally under £150 each year and I stay on my existing for £170, I am totally lost why folk are not looking around.
