I knocked something off my bucket list this past Mother's Day.

I hope you all had a great Mother's Day. I went to Virginia to be with my daughter and family this year. Daughter had the weekend well planned. dinner, shopping, roses from the Grand kids. A sunset cruise on the Potomac. I had never seen Washington lit up at night. Just beautiful. The highlight was a hike on the Appalachian Trail. I had read books about the trail and found it so interesting so I put it on my bucket list to hike a bit on the trail. Mother's Day it happened. Just my daughter and myself. We went a couple of miles with frequent stops for old Mom. Some of it was uphill and a stream with no exposed rocks to cross,they had a lot of rain recently.I guess the experience wouldn't be complete without soppy wet socks and sneakers, but I enjoyed the whole experience.
