I love British murder mysteries

I stream Britbox and other sites for murder mysteries, but I have to watch them later because I fall asleep on the couch and either miss key plot points or the perpetrator altogether. I was watching Vera last night and fell asleep so I'll see the episode later.

So do I Rick, but I wish they'd go and murder people in other countries instead. 😊

I like 'Endeavour.'

I really prefer British police procedurals. They have the occasional one on Netflix. I just can’t justify having another streaming service.

What particularly interests you regarding British shows of murder mysteries? Is it in part to do with the different physical environment you see in those shows, and in part a different culture?

I just find them to be better written and much more inventive in their method of "murder". It's too easy here in the states all a person need do is pull their gun and kablewie.

I love the British murder mysteries too!
I pay to stream the PBS station so I can binge them. And also I can see the shows produced by South Carolina Public Broadcasting.

Just discovered Wycliffe. The technology (phones/ computers) they use are hilariously outdated but I have to hand it to them… they go in for reality as far as the location (Cornwall, I believe?). Everyone takes a turn at splashing through puddles, standing in rain and wading thru ankle deep mud in farm fields. Not a lot of ā€œchocolate boxā€ villages. (Though I do enjoy Midsomer Murders)

I am catching up with the latest Shetland series.....watched it in the early days.
Perez has aged a lot since I last saw him so I guess I have missed quite a few series.

If the detective finds a toothbrush at the crime scene, you can rule out any British person being guilty.
