I literally could not live without my pets. They give so much comfort and joy. How about you? I’ve had animals all my life. These are my latest two being adorable and posing with my daughter in law.
I have had all kinds of pets my whole life too. Mainly cats. Now I am down to one bunny rabbit. He is my last pet. I think this is probably his last year as he is 11 years old.
I have always had animals in my life. I’ve done a lot of rescue/rehab of horses, dogs, and cats.
I have laid seven horses to rest in my lifetime: 6 of them 27 and older. My last horse is now 29-31, we aren’t sure as his papers didn’t come with him. He’s been with me three years today. He will be my last horse to own. When his time comes, the little fireball Arabian, who is on loan to me, will go beck to his own herd.
The Arabian is way out front — he should be— he is only 13
I also still have two dogs. One is 13, the other is 3-4. Both came from shelters.
Pets often become an intrinsic part of the family. I have always had cats since I was young – I believe the one I now have is #8. I can’t even imagine life without a pet. They give so much unconditional love to us.

They’re beautiful.
I wouldn’t want to live without dogs in my life. I’ve had them all my life. Grew up in a family with dogs & had the first of my very own aged five when I woke up on Christmas morning in the dark to find a tiny Pekingese puppy with a huge red bow round his neck at the bottom of my bed.My grandmother kept Pekingese. My dad had working Border Collies.
Raised my first litter of Fox Terriers when I was sixteen & went on to show & breed all my life, mainly Cairns & Skye Terriers. I now have four tiny ones, two Maltese & two Yorkies who I love to bits
Over the years I’ve had other animals, cats, a herd of milking goats, poultry & waterfowl ( geese & ducks), no longer only because I have now some mobility issues. My life has revolved around animals & I wouldn’t have had it any other way.
21 years ago I got my first dog as a adult and it was a Maltese named Mandy. I bought a puppy not knowing there’s many older Maltese needing homes. I have rescued many often having 4 at once. I have 8 urns in my closet. Now living in a condo I can only have two.
2 months ago I rescued an older black dog whose owner died. She’s half wiener and half Havanese and luckily I am not allergic to her. Many breeds I can’t tolerate. She needed vaccines, checkup and a 2k dental which I did. We don’t really know how old she is but my vet thinks 8-9.
I'm a cat person, but your dogs are cuties. My first pet as a little girl was a beautiful auburn cocker spaniel though. Since then we've had cats. After our Audra passed away, I lived without a pet for a long time. I think she's been gone for at least 30 years. She's sitting on my instrument in a pretty urn I purchased just for her. I thought I wouldn't get another cat until I was about 85, since I like traveling, but Deja rescued me, two days after she camped out on our patio. Now sometimes when I look at her, I think the title of your thread "I love her so much"! I hate to be away from her for more than 2 nights, but my son encourages me to go for at least 3.
The first day we saw her on the patio. Guess she figured, these humans are feeding me, I'll stick around.
After the second night, I brought her in because it was supposed to rain the next day.
