I LOVE to hear when older adults are happy and enjoying themselves...

Live, Laugh and Love
If you are 60+ I pray you are happy, have internal Peace and are enjoying life as best you can. We DEFINITELY deserve it. If you are, give yourself a STANDING OVATION. If not, I pray you and happiness meet very soon. I shared with my daughter I have more years behind me than I do in front of me. Although I have challenges as we all do, I am making the REST of my Life the BEST OF MY LIFE. Peace and Happiness starts internal. Once you have Peace within, I find that you can handle challenges and difficult times a little better.

Generally I'm pretty happy. I love to get involved in my many projects. Not enough hours in the day for all of them.
What saddens me is thinking of my family who have passed on and getting upset with my aches and pains. I have a hard job learning my limitations.
The hardest time is at night when I do some serious thinking instead of sleeping.
I deal with it though and the sadness isn't lasting so I guess I'm doing ok.

Love yer thought process, Ladybj

Not to be argumentative, but I've never felt I 'deserved' anything

Too many unfortunates that came up in the harshest of conditions
Too many losses I've never experienced
Too many that never had anything at all to even lose, be it parents, things, or a place to be

Sure, it's a state of mind
Most us old folks know 'things' don't cure an ailing soul

But, to see a countenance change... a smile come upon a needy child, a distraught parent, a fellow old folk...first hand

well.....that gives me happiness

and it seems contagious

Most y'all see me as finding lots of things funny...and I do
But there's an inner serious to me, that folks seem to not readily read
'cept those I let in

There's other stuff in there...that even I don't look at
But have to feed from time to time
Then
scurry away

moi...the other side.jpg

But that's another topic

I have no doubt there is a serious side to you but it seems you have a GREAT sense of humor :ROFLMAO: I agree to disagree with you as not deserving to be happy at an older age. We older adults have been through a LOT.. Making it to the age of 60+ I have no doubt most of us have experienced a great deal of challenges and hardships in life. And to overcome those obstacles and be happy, healthy (other than normal aches and pains) and be at Peace...WOW!!!

I sure can't argue with that.

Yes, I am, life is good to me now, as long as the family is well and happy then I am.
