I love watching Period Dramas.

Latest one I am watching is Our Mutual Friend by Charles Dickens.

It focuses on the corrupting influence of money, social mobility and identity in Victorian London.
Yeah. You can't go wrong with the McGann's or Keeley. A very large percentage of our telly watching are Brit period pieces. We have seen virtually every Masterpiece Theatre production available on pbs in the U.S. dating from the 70's (I think "I Claudius" was the first available here).
I don't know if you are able to see Masterpiece Theatre down under. The Brits do it best. The U.S. remakes are over-the-top, IMHO.
