In two weeks I'll be babysitting a pup while his Dad is on vacation. I just met him last night, I'll have to post pictures. Owing to his humans big personality I was picturing a mastiff perhaps. No, just a graying widdle Beagle. What a sweetheart!!! Just simple instructions. He gets his kibble with a spoon of wet food, and his daily pill tucked into the wet food.
I make a multi ingredient soup for my dogs each meal. They rarely touch dry kibble. Sometimes they even hold out until I remember a bit of shredded cheese. And it's amazing, he just eats his pill. I remember being in the vets office with Sophie. She ate the pill pocket and kept spitting out the pill. It took three people to get that single pill in her.
His Dad is one of hubby's friends. He wanted me to take Rocky on a walk so I could see his nature. What a difference from my dogs. His owner called out " Now watch it, he pulls but don't let him do it". Sophie almost broke my arm a few times. Callie could drag an SUV...this pup is like walking a turtle...he pulls...good one.
We were approached by another dog and I went into panic mode " How is he with other dogs?" Oh fine. Sophie tries to break her leash. Then approaching humans " How is he with people?" Oh fine. Male strangers can make Callie quite testy indeed.
Funny how we get so used to our own dogs...then you meet a "normal" pup.
