I might be crazy but (bleeding colon infection)

I had that hospital visit in January for a bleeding colon infection ... and they put me on blood pressure meds for the first time ever 😡

A few weeks ago my doctor threatened me with cholesterol medicine as those numbers also were up.

I have fixed cholesterol numbers multiple times in the past with diet and exercise, so I believe I can do it again.

So I had the bright idea of working at a shipping freight company loading trucks for the exercise, and they pay you some money on top of that.

Have completed my fifth shift today. This is very intense work. Have had a whole lotta pain and I walk like Frankenstein at the end of the evening.

Just curious @Lawrence00
How old are you that you can do this job? Any Job? I think you did something incredible, and worthy. Best of luck for you!
I'm 66.5, In my years I have spent a lot of time in the gym and doing manual labor, so the body remembers. Just these last two years in a computer job that had me in a chair nearly every day weakened me.

I like your way of thinking. Go down swinging! But maybe ease into things a little.

My wife and I were at a fifties dance a few weeks ago and I felt a little unsteady doing the twist, although I was ok. So I upped my walk/jog to another 1/4 mile which includes some hill work. Maybe try to do some more exercises requiring balance too.

I am 66 1/2 too. Apparently this is something one goes through at this age. A fourth childhood or something like that.

Thank you for the warning! That is why SO started looking for the floor of the garage - room for toys for the fourth childhood.

The job turned into unrealistic deadlines and very high stress. Moron executives. I was stuck for awhile. Today I would likely be at the gym everyday to fix my health, but decided to look at some manual labor jobs. The job is physically more demanding than the gym.

Just completed shift 6 :)

:) Beware of hernia, and (at your age) of getting too severely out of breath

Hard work means no pain, no gain. You need to get in shape Doste! Thats what your hurts is telling you!
Heck I can remember aches and pains as a 15-year-old. Parents said don't take aspirin, it will make your
tummy bleed.

In 1987 I'd been eating junk food for 6 months. A $15 cholesterol check resulted in 199 total cholesterol, my highest ever.
Then I changed my diet to grains with fruit & portion control. The result 6 weeks later was 123 total and it's been low ever since.
Mine has been up then fixed for various reasons, multiple times. Not genetics problem for me. Last one was my body did not like keto and lots of cheese. This time I think it was 12+ hours a day in the programming chair and high stress for too long. So I'll know for sure how much it is in April.

You can do it!
