I need a new mattress

My 13 year old twin inner spring looks more like a hammock - it's all sunken in the center (or one could say "molded to my contours" - LOL). Like the bed in the movie "Psycho". All the bedding/furniture stores around here are closed (COVID I assume). Any suggestions?

I don't know what's available online, but that might be an option.
The way you described it, your current mattress could wreck your back!

I think you're pretty stuffed while the stores are closed, and you can't shop online... how about a large piece of wood panel, under the mattress for now...

If "stuffed" still means what I heard British folks meant by it back when I was in high school, I don't think Deb needs to worry about that! :ROFLMAO:
(I heard it meant pregnant)
noooo lol..... stuffed is a very old fashioned word for what you're referring to... not heard that used for decades in that way...

A few years ago I bought a temporary 6" twin foam mattress from the local Walmart for approx. $100.00.

I placed it over the old mattress and it continues to work fine for me.

I recommend a Tempur Pedic mattress. I've been sleeping on it for 14 years. Warranty is 25 years. Fixed my chronic back pain. You can order it online.

No, I can't. I don't have plastic money.
Maybe now is the time to take the plunge.

Apply for a card with a small limit through a company that is not affiliated with your bank or brokerage account.

Slightly change the format of your name and address so it is still accurate but a little different from your other accounts and use it only for online purchases or use it in conjunction with a PayPal account.

The alteration of the name and address will give you an idea of the source of future solicitations.

Good luck!

Plus there are many online retailers that accept payments through Paypal without requiring the debit card.

Edited to add: ebay is an example. There are many mattresses and toppers there. Hint: if you choose that option, pick 'buy it now,' 'new,' and 'US Only.'
