I never cared for reality TV shows

but I can't stop tuning in to see what is going on with the POTUS. If it was a reality show, where would you rank it?

I keep watching the World News or Evening News to see what is going on with the POTUS, too. It certainly isn't boring. In terms of watchability I will give it 5 stars.

We have never watched a reality show. There are better things to watch.

Never watched a "reality show" as such. Today, the World is living a reality show starring none other than the President of the United States. This has, so far, been a mix of "The Three Stooges", Archie Bunker, and Al Bundy. The difference is, those type of shows were designed to be comedies. Today's display is a dramatic tragedy that could... and undoubtedly will... have negative effect on millions in this Country and around the World.

Each and every high school teacher needs to use this era of American History as an exercise in teaching the responsibility all have to be part of the American democratic process. We MUST show the younger generations that they can no longer sit on their couch instead of voting... make taking their kid to soccer practice more important than voting... spend time on Facebook/Twitter rather than going to the polls how important their participation in the process is.

It just seems to me there has become a shortage of good creators, writers, producers, and apparently professional actors. And as such, Hollywood just rolls out programs they deem reality, when in true reality these shows are all staged, rehearsed and shot with "ordinary citizens" whom they don't have to pay very much.

Up North - I agree. It's all so phony and there are "actors" unable to carry the roles they are assigned.

I like reality shows if the topic changes once in a while. It's good to know there are weirder people than me. they also show different personalities that we didn't see before they came along. Now we know everyone isn't what we think they're supposed to be. But I actuall learn things I didn't know from a lot of them. It's fun to see how others live and think.

Thanks for saying what needs saying.

We only watched that 'model' show with Tyra Banks the first year it was on, maybe it's second season, but other than that only if we were flipping past it while searching for something else. Not fans of those at all. Actually what we do seem to go for more often than not are British shows, Doc Martin, Downton Abby (of course:rolleyes:), Broadchurch, Happy Valley, The Bletchley Circle, Luther, The Paradise to name several.
