I propose a "seniors' motto"

When I worked at the sheriff's dept in the jails we used to say "It is what it is".
A good friend of mine who worked at the West Toronto Detention Unit, did a really funny cartoon book about the life of a guard. He drew the cartoons, and wrote the captions, too. It was called " Doing life, 8 hours at a time ". He sold them to friends, and donated the money to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. My favorite one was a drawing of a guard getting dressed in his uniform at home, standing in front of a mirror, saying NO! time after time, getting ready to go to work. Danny said that he counted how many times he said NO! in a shift and that was the inspiration for the cartoon. The other one I liked was a new guy being interviewed by the jail supervisor, both of whom have sharp pointed faces and rat tails coming out of their pant legs. The caption reads " Jones, I think you will do very well here ". Have a good one. JimB.
