I Realize I Have a Ridiculous Amount of Pinterest Pins and Ravelry Patterns Saved.

Almost 700 Ravelry patterns. Granted, many are inspiration. A lot of simple scarves and some novelty items like little trees, knit eggs, chickens etc.. I'm not a fan of that site but I utilize it to log my projects and all the patterns I use are free only, which there are many. If I save a pay for pattern, it's an idea only. They even have a group for free patterns only which I check often because sometimes a designer puts a pattern up for free for a limited time only. I downloaded one yesterday.

Pinterest. Over 2,600 'pins.' Seriously. I don't know what I'm saving it all for. Craft items, garden, recipes.

Etsy I'm good with. Less than 20 shops saved and less than 30 favorite items. Most of which I'll never buy of course.

Anyone else?

Do you keep them in a file on your computer? That would keep them all in one place. (I'm assuming they're digital)

Since they were free, and don't take up a lot of space, I don't think it's a problem ....is it?

It's just the way the internet affects some of us. It can kind of get out of hand very easily like for example if you follow hundreds of people on Twitter or elsewhere. Starts as a good idea but then you find you can't keep up with everything. And it can become stressful after a while. Unfollowing people (or in your case, deleting at least a chunk of those saved patterns) can feel very liberating and be a big weight (albeit a virtual digital weight) off your mind. If you try this approach, let us all know how it goes :)

Yes, every once in a while I fall into a Pinterest rabbithole of one kind or another and end up with a ton of saved pins. I don't mind it though; as @Murrmurr said, it's all digital and easy enough to keep or delete.

I find the journeys sort of like a hobby and fun in that way, even if I go back and delete folders later. :)

may I ask... what's a ravelry pattern.. ?... I only save vintage pictures on Pinterest, and tbh I haven't even done that for a couple of years
Ravelry is a large knitting, crochet and some weaving site. Mainly yarn art. They call it a "database" only but it's far from that. There are adds on the site and the site makes money from sold patterns. There are many patterns available, to buy, free and patterns from books and magazines, many out of print and not available but may still have made projects.

You can link your project to the pattern page. See others interpretations etc of the patterns. Also upload pictures of your yarn.

No, they are just linked on the sites. With Ravelry, I can put them under categories: Scarves, shawles, stripes, chickens on and on. I also have Pinterest categorized.

Pinterest is a rabbit hole. I don't know how many pins I have saved just for a little cloth needle book. :D I'm ridiculous. Also when it comes to recipes, my sweets category has the most. 🤔 No surprise.

And they just sit there and don't bother me so there is no harm. I was just surprised when I realized how many I do have. It's so easy, just a click.

I follow very few on Instragram. I don't let social media stress me out. I haven't posted anything on Facebook in ages, and that was usually just the cats.

Oh my gosh, me too with the recipes! Recipes and sewing stuff, upcycling. Tons of it. LOL

Lets just say if there's a parade I'm on the float....a fundraising campaign, I'm on the poster. I'm working on an unmanageable pile on Instagram now.
