I received 2 snail mails about a data breech

From a company called TriZetto indicating a suspicious activity on some healthcare provider systems in which sensitive data such as SSN, birthday, insurance IDs. The bottom line - an offer to enroll in a monitoring service.

I've received these notices before and nothing happened that I'm aware.

Has anyone else received these?

Sounds like a scam to me.

Are they offering this so you don’t become part of a class action suit against them. Sorry, rhetorical question - obviously you don’t know the answer.
When I've had data breach notices, they often offer free credit monitoring for a certain amount of time... I think usually a year. It's just part of the settlement if the person whose data was involved chooses to join the class action.

That’s what I’d expect too. I’d just be reading the fine print to be certain there are no limitations on still joining lawsuits.
