I received an SMS message about a welfare check

My Real Estate agent contacted me regarding a phone call she received from a tenant where I reside.
Someone has not seen me for a while and was concerned so rang the estate agent.
I received an sms stating that if they do not hear from me by this afternoon someone will be sent to my unit to check that I am okay.
I rang the agent and apparently a parcel arrived for me and it has been sitting outside my unit for the week I have been here.
My neighbour was concerned and rang the agent. All good now.
As an aside, the parcel will be a copy of the Royal Commission report into the Robo Debt Scheme.
Serious reading for me when I return. 900 pages in 3 three volumes. :)

Don't you check your mail on the regular or semi regularly? It's good that your neighbor was so concerned and that there was someone available to follow up on her concerns. It's interesting how they went about it too. I've never heard of that happening, though when I hear of cases of welfare checks, it's usually by police and they don't have cell phone numbers.

That‘s good to know your neighbour cares about you. Next time you go on vacation, you probably should let her know so she can watch for your mail or anything untoward.

Parcels are left propped up on the front door. I have been away on holiday for the last week, never knew the parcel was coming so soon.
Better to have Real Estate agent check, instead of police.
