I saw a spider in the snow

I was surprised on turning a shovel of snow over in the driveway to see a small daddy longlegs. It was alive, so I scooped it up and put it in the garage. At least it will be out of the snow and sheltered. I wonder if seeing a spider on Christmas day had any significance. I tried looking that up, but only found references to spider ornaments, not real spiders.
