I posted a photo of my mom in front of the stove in the early 1960s (in another thread). On the wall over the stove was a circular potholder caddy featuring a Dutch boy and girl which I still have. Under the figures it says "Rip's Retreat" which was a now defunct tourist spot in downstate NY:
