I suffer from the lack of sufficient REM sleep

I have a Phillips bi pap machine. I never heard about a recall. But I've moved from Maine to Minnesota since I first got it.

I don't worry about dental problems any more. I had my remaining teeth pulled around 2007. That was a very liberating experience. I had so many infected teeth that had plagued me for decades. My dentures are great!

i think that recall may have just been on CPAP machines. Not sure why they would be that different but possible they were. The recall was voluntary on the company's part and from everything i read the issue was more than likely due to people using a fancy 'ionization' cleaning device instead of mild soap and warm water on the parts. People were finding small black 'flakes' in their hoses etc. To be extra sure they offered it to all the 'Dreamstation 1' users even those like me who cleaned our machines by hand and never saw flakes.

i almost didn't register at the website and take them up on it, but glad i did. The Dreamstation 2 is smaller, lighter, filters easier to remove and i love the detailed info screen. Plus i can change the humidity setting when have extra rainy weeks on end like sometimes. Went to get the website address for you and it opened to the FAQ page. Taking a quick look there are a couple of BiPAP machines involved too. It began in 2021 but i didn't get my machine till July of 2022, probably because i reported no problems or use of the suspect cleansing method. Am still going to put website address up for you, in case you want to check out.

@ronk And probably in next year or so i'll be going to full dentures. The few i teeth i have left are deteriorating rapidly. Will be discussing options and timeline with my Dentist on next visit. Not looking forward to the process of making the switch but think once it's done i'll be glad.

I began sleeping much more soundly when I began using a sleep mask. Soft cloth band, Velcro adjustable about five inches wide. Make snug enough to stay in place but not tight. Amazon about $25.

I got my BiPap machine around 2007 (don't remember exactly when.) My previous machine had died. I was on Welfare at the time, living in Maine. I had some medical coverage from the State or County. But they didn't pay for "hardware," such as a BiPap machine. I went months without a machine. Finally I got desperate and checked myself into a "mental" ward (I can't think of a better word now). I told them I was considering suicide.

Eventually I enlisted the aid of my US Senator, and got the new BiPap machine. Around the same time I used some connections to get my remaining teeth pulled, and get the new dentures for free.
