I think these crewman are getting screwed,

There is no way I would stay aboard all this time, they are not
actually "at sea" and could be replaced by some other seamen
for at least some time off the mess.....IMO
 
I know the feeling while I was deployed in the US Navy. Go out for a 6 month cruise, near the end of the cruise when you're counting the days down to see your love ones, they tell you that your ship has been extended to 1, 2, 3 or more months. I've had it happen to me many times.
 

Somehow, I really can't work up tears for the crew. They did wipe out a bridge, killing people, clogged up international shipping, and will cost someone mega-billions to rebuild. Their ship ain't going no place, I don't see any reason why they should. They are in Baltimore, with everything they could want.
 
I am glad there is an ongoing and very thorough investigation into this event.....and my grandson and thousands of his fellow sailors deployed on the Ford ship in and around Israel during the Hamas attack.... for weeks on end come to mind when people speak of pity for a small crew and the confiscation of their phones...
