I think we're saving money because of the stinkin' virus.

No, seriously. We used to eat lunch out three times a week. We didn't eat out at all for a couple months, and now we go maybe once a week. And never for dinner. Except we're planning to go out to eat for dinner for a belated anniversary treat next week. No movies, no trips, no cruise. We were planning a trip to England, but that's not happening. No river cruise. But seriously, except for buying jigsaw puzzles, we have spent very little.

Yep gotta agree mine and hubs bank balances are much healthier due to the last few months... By this time every year we're over in Southern Spain, so we've not had to shell out for flights, and everything that goes with getting there..and staying for a few weeks.. and really aside from groceries I've barely bought anything much even online.. . We got to the pub and restaurants regularly usually a couple times a week at least, we've not done that either.. in 3 months . Hubs worked from home for 3 months so didn't have to buy fuel for his very thirsty high end sports model car to get to his place of business ( he's only just gone back to work) ..and I was using my car just to get to the supermarket 9 times out of 10..and only once every 2 or 3 weeks.. and petrol being much cheaper during the pandemic than it has been for years, one full tank, lasted weeks..

Same story as most of you. Three paid-for vacations cancelled and refunded. Ditto for two RV trips. Also a weekend concert jaunt to San Diego. Hotel refunded our money but Ticketmaster hasn't yet. Claiming it's "postponed" not cancelled although there's no new date being offered. Fine print nonsense.

Over 100 days without museum visits, restaurant meals, brunches with friends & family at one of the local breweries.

No salon visits yet either. When I do go, it will be for a quick haircut only. Forget color, blow dry, etc. I'm doing my own pedicures.

Our spring & summer street fairs and county fairs are cancelled. No friends visiting from out of town. No touring anyone to see the local sights. So our gas tanks need refills less than once a month.

When shopping, the hubs & I get exactly what we need and leave. Not lollygagging in the store means impulse purchases are almost nil.

All this adds up to very little money being spent.

Same with us. Bank account building each month. The stimulus check helped too. If this ever gets over with, we all owe ourselves a well deserved night out, or something.
we didn't get any stimulus cheque or anything even remotely similar, so when it comes to a night out..can you pay for me ? :ROFLMAO:

Same here. I charge almost everything on one credit card, and pay it off in full every month. For the last few months, my bill is about $400 less than it usually is! Part of it is due to no restaurant meals, partly because I almost never have to put gas in the car, since I don't go anywhere, and partly due to other miscellaneous things I don't do any more, like haircuts. (I do have an appointment in a few weeks, though. Couldn't stand it any more.)

So that's the one good thing we can say about the damn virus. But personally, I'd rather have my normal life back.

i have only been spending my money on bills. the rest is just sitting there.
