I used the self checkout yesterday

Withdrew $100 and left it there.
I noticed this morning, 24 hours later that my wallet seemed to be $100 short.
Went back this morning, explain my issue and a smile came across the checkout lady.
"Don't worry love, it happens all the time. We have your money in the safe"

Bank ATM has multiple video cameras to record what is happening at all times. And they count their cash in the machine at least once per day.

Yup, I've used the checkout as an ATM, and walked out without taking the money. When I got home, I didn't have the cash, so I drove back to the store. I couldn't believe it, my money was still the tray, after lots of people must have used it.

I have dropped money on the floor at stores without noticing and always someone picks it up and hands it to me. It is a nice feeling but I feel stupid for not noticing.
