I was in the garden this morning, there was this large Grasshopper.

I know. I almost got a fright because I turned my head and it was within inches of my face.

I realize that logically but the size of it freaks me out. Our biggest grasshoppers are about half that size.

However, it would still rise a sudden scream out of plenty of us.
Even our nature and garden enthusiasts, obviously.

That would freak me out. I’d probably scream.

One time, when we were living in Virginia, where the crickets are huge (not tiny, like they are where I live now), I stuck my hand into a bag of dog treats, which was situated in the garage, and when I withdrew it, there was an enormous cricket on the back of my hand. It was nearly an inch long. Ugh!!

I swear, my scream rivaled Jamie Lee Curtis at her best. My husband was seriously concerned that one of the neighbors would call 911.

If I saw a grasshopper that size within inches of my face, @Bretrick, I have no doubt I'd scream like that again.
