The max temperature allowed is 99.4, mine was 99.6. I learned if you want to give blood strictly for cancer patients it takes about 90 minutes!

They still will not take my blood as I had a complete transfusion when I had my stroke in 1997. Would give if I could!

Are we talking body temperature?
The norm is 98.6
Mine is 97.
There is a tolerance either way but I suppose if your temperature is up that it might signify an infection which is understandable because infections hit the body all the time.

Yes, they check your temperature. An elevation above considered norm could indicate an infection brewing.

I gave blood twice when my weight was up. The minimum weight is 110 pounds. Now, I'm wondering if I would be refused because I am 70? I never even considered that there might be an age barrier. Googled it: https://www.redcrossblood.org/donat...ements/eligibility-criteria-alphabetical.html - From this, it seems that there are no upper age limits, but a whole lot of conditions and activities that will make folks ineligible.
