I wasted $2

I was going to put this top out at my yard sale, but it has stains on the front. I sprayed the stains with OXY Clean and went to the laundromat. It came out of the washer looking the same. Is there a way to get these stains out? It is really heavy fabric (ramie & cotton blend).

It might be too late if you put it in the dryer. But, this has worked for me a lot of times. Put shampoo on the stains on both sides of the material. Roll it up and let it sit for a couple of days. Then, wash in cold water.

For small stains I use peroxide.

Are the stains rust stains? Something like Iron Out may remove them.

I think you’re getting close to spending more on stain removal than you might get for the sweater. Why not mark it “ as is” and let the buyer worry about it.

Oxy clean is wonderful to soap clothes in!! You just have to be patient though ... I soak my stained clothes for a minimum of 3 days.

Have you tried dry cleaning fluid?
Or you can saturate it with vinegar and bicarb leave it for half an hour and then put it through the wash.

I can't see anyone paying more than $2 for that, even if it wasn't stained. I think, at this point, you're going in the hole. Give it to Goodwill.
